Cockpit Features
This page reviews the key features available on each section of the webserver.
Overview
- High level summaries of computer health, CPU and memory usage, Hardware Information and Computer Configuration
Logs
- View the systemd journal (equivalent to using
journalctl
) and filter for specific messages
Storage
- Monitor reading and writing from the hard drive(s)
- View available space and storage logs
Networking
- Monitor the bandwidth usage on each of the connected networks. Note that any network managed by the networkd renderer will be displayed as "Unmanaged interfaces". This is expected because Cockpit is only looking for interfaces managed by the Network Manager renderer.
- View the IP addresses assigned for each network interface
- View network logs
Accounts
- View users and groups
- While in administrative access mode you can also create accounts and groups
Services
- Monitor all of the services including service status and logs
- While in administrative access mode you can manage whether or not services are enabled.
